A high school football play out of Danville, Kentucky is making the rounds nationally after Boyle County tight end Seneca Driver drove a defender into the turf following an interception during a recent game.
Video of the hit shows Driver, a 6-foot-6, 234-pound senior, closing on the defensive back who had just picked off a pass from his quarterback and slamming him to the ground.
Driver enters this season as one of the most decorated players in the state. He was named Kentucky’s 4A Player of the Year last season after leading Boyle County to a state title, finishing with 875 yards and 11 touchdowns on offense to go with 67 tackles and five interceptions on defense.
He has drawn interest from major college programs across the country, holding offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Auburn and Cincinnati before committing to Oklahoma in March. Both Rivals and 247Sports rank him among the top tight ends in the nation.
Earlier this season, Driver recorded four touchdowns and an interception in a single half of play, underscoring his two-way impact for Boyle County.
The clip of his hit on the interception has quickly spread online, drawing attention to the Danville program and to Driver as he heads toward his commitment with Oklahoma.
