While Americans prep to celebrate the 4th of July there is a very real plot unveiling and it looks like Biden’s Director of National Economic Council (NEC), Brian Deese, just let the cat out of the bag! Deese was pressed to explain the rising gas prices to American families and he instead that Americans should understand that this is all an attempt to save “the future of the liberal world order.”

CNN reporter Victor Blackwell noted that military analysts and the Director of National Intelligence have predicted that the war in Ukraine could last for years.

“I think everybody understands why this is happening but is it sustainable? What do you say to those families who say, listen, we can’t afford to pay $4.85 a gallon for months, if not years,” Blackwell asked Deese.

“What we heard from the president today was about the stakes,” Deese replied. “This is about the future of the liberal world order and we have to stand firm. But at the same time what I’d say to that family, to Americans across the country is, you have a present administration that is going to do everything in its power to blunt those price increases and bring those prices down.”

Previously Biden has lashed out blaming Russian President Vladimir Putin for the gas prices. Now he’s taking aim at American energy companies.“At a time of war,” Biden wrote in an open letter to the industry on June 15, “high refinery profit margins being passed directly onto American families are not acceptable… companies must take immediate actions to increase the supply of gasoline, diesel, and other refined product.”

Biden argues that the amount per barrel has gone down but that the gas prices have not dropped. When argued out by economists it totals out to be just less than $4 a gallon but that’s crude, unrefined oil and it doesn’t reflect processing and shipping the product to stations.

Watch

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos ripped President Biden for blaming sky-high prices at the pump on gas station companies — accusing the commander-in-chief of either employing “misdirection” or of displaying a “deep misunderstanding” of economic fundamentals.

In a tweet on Saturday, Biden wrote: “My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril.”

“Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product,” the president continued. “And do it now.”

Bezos, the second richest person in the country, blasted Biden’s message in a response on Twitter later Saturday.

“Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this,” posted Bezos, owner of the Washington Post.

“It’s either straight ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics.”

Bezos happens to be one of the most affected billionaires by gas prices since his Amazon services tie up most of the US shipping services. Also, less disposable income=less Amazon spending. I don’t think we would have heard from him if it weren’t for that. It’s not like he cares how families are going to survive these record prices.
