The Chicago Bears travel to Green Bay on Sunday to face the Packers in one of the NFL’s oldest rivalries, with Chicago entering at 3-1 and Green Bay at 2-2.

Chicago is favored on the road despite starting backup quarterback Tyson Bagent for a second straight week. Bagent went 25-for-34 for 268 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in last week’s win over the Jets.

The Bears’ running game carried much of the offensive load against New York. Kyle Monangai and D’Andre Swift combined to overwhelm the Jets defense, with Monangai alone rushing for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. Green Bay’s run defense ranks fifth-worst in the league, a potential trouble spot against Chicago’s ground attack.

Green Bay, meanwhile, has struggled to establish its own running game, averaging just 58 rushing yards per game as a team. That figure is 16 yards below the second-worst rushing offense in football and 138 yards behind Chicago’s per-game average.

That gap puts more weight on Green Bay’s passing attack, which ranks 11th in the league at 249.3 yards per game through the air. Chicago’s pass defense ranks third-best in football, while the Packers’ own pass defense ranks fourth-best, setting up a matchup that could favor stingier defensive units over offensive fireworks.
