The Chicago Bears host the Minnesota Vikings today at Soldier Field in a Week 2 NFC North matchup, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET.
Chicago comes in unbeaten after a 59-37 blowout of the Carolina Panthers in Week 1, with quarterback Caleb Williams and head coach Ben Johnson looking to keep the momentum going in their first home game of the season. Oddsmakers have the Bears favored by 5.5 points over their Midwest rivals.
Minnesota also enters at 1-0, but the Vikings’ path may depend on the health of quarterback Kyler Murray, who was injured in Week 1. Backup Carson Wentz stepped in and led Minnesota to a 39-22 win over the Green Bay Packers.
“I want to highlight Carson Wentz for a second,” Minnesota head coach Kevin O’Connell said after the game. “Without any doubt on that sideline, you guys knew what was coming, and he went out there, poised it all, calmed everyone down, and he went out, and helped us win that football game.”
Both teams are considered playoff contenders in the NFC North, making this an early measuring-stick game for the division.
