Aurora Culpo says she’s ready to step in for her brother-in-law, 49ers star Christian McCaffrey, if her sister Olivia Culpo goes into labor while he’s tied up with football.
“Yeah, we had that conversation,” Aurora told Page Six at a JAKKS Pacific Winnie the Pooh 100th Anniversary event she co-hosted with Nicole Williams English at her home this week. “I said, ‘I’ll come and stay with you at the hospital if he can’t be there that night.'”
Olivia and McCaffrey announced the pregnancy in May with a joint Instagram post featuring their 14-month-old daughter, Colette, and their dog, Oliver. Olivia has not shared an exact due date, but Aurora said her sister is due “any day.”
Aurora has her own newborn to manage. She welcomed daughter Selene with fiancé Zac Duvernet on May 15, and is also mother to Soleil, 5, and Remi, 7. She said Olivia questioned whether she could really break away given Selene’s sleep regression.
“She’s like, ‘Well, don’t you have to be home with Selene?’ Because Selene is going through her four-month sleep regression, so there’s not a whole lot of sleep being had,” Aurora said. “But if Olivia does need me to come stay with her in the hospital, I am ready.”
Olivia has already settled on a delivery plan that makes an emergency backup less likely to be needed. “The plan is I’m having a C-section because I had a C-section in July last year, so having a VBAC [Vaginal Birth After Cesarean] wasn’t an option,” she said in a TikTok “Get Ready With Me” video.
Aurora, juggling wedding planning with three kids of her own, said she hasn’t found much balance lately. “Maybe at some point there’ll be more balance in my life,” she said at the event, which featured JAKKS Pacific’s Disney Darlings Magical Birthday Surprises dolls inspired by Winnie the Pooh. “But I don’t think I’ve found a balance yet. So today, it’s Winnie the Pooh. Tomorrow, it’s going to be something else.”
