Anthropic has publicly filed its S-1 registration with the SEC, clearing the path for a possible stock market debut as soon as the week of November 16. The company is trading under the placeholder ticker ANTH.PVT and intends to list as ANT on the Nasdaq Global Select Market once it goes public.

Anthropic has not announced an official IPO date, but SEC rules narrow the window. The filing went public on October 26, and companies that used the private SEC draft review process must wait at least 15 calendar days before launching a formal roadshow — the process where a company pitches its offering to investors. That puts the earliest possible roadshow start at November 10.

From there the timeline tightens further. The SEC is closed November 11 for Veterans Day, and the agency requires two business days’ notice before declaring a filing effective. Working through those constraints, Yahoo Finance calculated that November 13 is the earliest date Anthropic could set its offering price, with November 16 the earliest possible first day of trading.

SpaceX provides a point of comparison: it went from public filing to first trade in 23 days after filing in June, starting its roadshow on day one and pricing a week later. If Anthropic follows that same pace, it could debut Wednesday, November 18 — leaving roughly a week of scheduling room before Thanksgiving on November 26. Anthropic has not disclosed how many shares it plans to sell or at what price range.

But the filing also discloses spending commitments totaling $895.4 billion, mostly tied to compute and infrastructure, with $69.8 billion due within the next 12 months.

Among the risk factors Anthropic itself cites: a narrow customer base, and dangers tied to advanced artificial intelligence that the filing describes as posing
