A family of four staying on-site at Walt Disney World for Halloween week will pay nearly $5,000 on average — more than it would cost to spend the same week in Spain, Greece or Italy, according to a new study.
The analysis, from vacation rental marketplace FloridaRentals.com, pulled pricing directly from Disney World’s official website and compared it with lodging data from Booking.com. For a seven-night on-site stay from Oct. 25 through Nov. 1, 2026, the average cost comes to $4,924 per family of four. At Disney’s upscale park resorts, that bill climbs to nearly $10,000 for the week.
Compare that to Europe: a week in Spain averages $1,710 for a family of four, 65% cheaper than staying on Disney property. A week in Greece runs $2,806, 43% cheaper. Italy comes in at $3,768, still 23% less than Disney.
Even the cheapest Disney resort option in the study, Coronado Springs Resort, costs $2,159 for the week — more than a vacation in Spain. At the high end, last-minute bookings at the Beach Club Resort reach $9,879.30 for seven nights.
The Halloween-week premium is real and measurable. The study found that average on-site Disney lodging for a family of four runs $4,064 during May 2027, meaning last-minute Halloween week rates this year carry a 21% markup over spring pricing just six months out.
